3. Buy some essential oils or candles. What could be better than having your home smell like the spa? Essential oils and candles provide a soft scent that can cater to any mood. Christmas time...balsam fir, Fall...pumpkin spice, need to relax, try lavender. Need to feel more energized, reach for orange. There are so many combinations you're sure to find the right scent to maximize that homey feel.

4. Refresh your front door. It's the first thing you see when coming home and it should set the tone for you and your family or guests. Try a fun paint color, seasonal wreath, or a friendly welcome mat to start. Now your door says, come on in!
